With 4 boys in the house, we go through band-aids like crazy around here. When we started to brainstorm ideas for our letter B alphabet exploration craft, this was the first thing that the boys came up with.
Simple and easy to do. Of course, the boys liked it because it involved using band-aids in a way other than to cover their battle wounds.
What you need:
- Construction paper
- Marker
- Assortment of band-aids
I used the marker to form a letter B on construction paper (bubble style). Then, I asked the boys to arrange the band-aids inside of the letter…
I left the wrappers on the band-aids, so that they could unwrap them. This was great for practicing fine motor control…
They continued to work until the entire letter B was filled with band-aids…
As they worked, we talked about the sound that B makes and discussed other words that begin with the letter B…
